Well, this has been going on for quite a while now but it seems Boeing is finally getting some momentum for it's 787 Dreamliner aircraft. For me this is wonderful news as riding around in airplanes today is like riding around in your friends 1987 Honda Civic. It's loud, cramped and the only thing you can smell over his Mexican wrestling buddy, Poncho, is the trunk full of piss.

It seems they were able to spare some of the fiber used in lighting the plane to actually create a network. Every seat will have an RJ45 plug for you laptop, let's hope they include power. Wireless connectivity was recently ditched because of international standards conflicts. But at this point they could add "fart spray and projectile vomit nozzles" into the seat backs and you I would still fight the pope for a seat.
